Manday Monday - LV Siwa Trotteur and Camera Bag

Friend and lawyer BP sent me a text message asking me to feature man bags. He wants a bag "for a man who needs to keep his stuff in order especially when girlfriend or wife is not around or prefers teenie weenie bags but is adverse to carrying a clutch bag".

A daunting task and one I have been remiss in fulfilling. As such, in honor of BP, I present what will now be a regular post - Manday Monday!

For our first feature, for BP's consideration, we present the Louis Vuitton Trotteur bag in Siwa Leather...

This bag is from the 2008 Pre-Fall collection. According to Deluxe Duck, Siwa is an oasis in the middle of the Sahara leather. I love the classic look and feel of the bag. No screaming logos. Gorgeous leather. And I think the model bears a striking resemblance to BP (he wishes!). The line will come in 4 colors.

The Trotteur measures 2.8" x 8.3" x 9.8" and can be carried on the shoulder or across the body with its adjustable shoulder strap. Need a bigger bag? Check out the Camera Bag. Equally lovely!

How do you wear a man-bag? The way the model carries the bag looks so gay.

Thanks for the post, BL.

The size of the Trotteur gives it a feminine look.

The Camera Bag looks just right for travelling but I don't see myself using it on a daily basis. It looks a bit like the Ace bags of the mid-70s. You could easily stuff your books, cigarette pack (long, slim, brown paper More cigarettes; not the ones produced by Mr. Tan), and a Denman brush (yes, I had hair back then, smart arse) in an Ace bag. Ask you folks about them.

More choices, please.

Hi there!

I think the less gay way is to wear the bag across the body, in a very preppy way.

BP,

I think with your ahem height, the Trotteur would be just right. As for the Ace bags, ah... will need to do research on that. Maybe my 60 year old father can help me. You might want to consider legal action against Denman as they were the last brushes to touch your ah... hair.
