Round 2: Botkier v. The Sak

Round 2. Who did it better? Who did it first? The two bags are eerily familiar...
The first bag above is The Sak Silverlake Convertible Satchel in Dark Amber popularized by Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus. The second bag below is the Botkier Sasha Duffel in Brown. A little too alike in my opinion.

This is how the Sak Silverlake Satchel is described:

Get two handbags in one! This amazing Satchel converts to a stylish Hobo. Just slide the shoulder strap out of the bottom loops and connect it again over the top. Presto - a whole new bag! With it's super soft leathers, simple Brushed Gold hardware and innovative design the Silverlake Convertible Satchel is a real stunner. The lining is a gorgeous colorful print created exclusively for The SAK by Paris born graffiti artist Gilles Jourdan. Main compartment zippered closure and a front flap pocket. Shoulder strap has a 13" drop. Lining features 2 open pockets and a back wall zippered pocket.

So when you convert it, it looks like this:

Sorry, couldn't find a picture in Amber.

This is how the Botkier Sasha looks when converted:

Aah... see what I mean? Now for the BIG difference. The Sak is only about USD199. On the other hand, the Botkier costs USD695. Now which one will you get?

Hey, have you seen both in person na? I'm thinking of getting either The Sak one or the Botkier Vixen.. Huge price difference so I'm seriously deciding too. Are both available here in the Philippines?

Hi there! Haven't seen both in the Philippines yet although Theodore's at Bonifacio High Street carries Botkier and Rustans carries the Sak.

I saw the Botkier Sasha at Lane Crawford in HK. 50% off! It was so gorgeous! Hesitated and when I returned for it, sold na! Sniff!

The sak bags look better. I only own one sak bag so far. I love it. Its the small ashbury shopper. Its just a hobo bag but I can but anything it, my life. Its a cute hobo bag style I love.
